♦New launch of “Osakana no Sausage” using “eco-clips” instead of metal stops
(Fish Sausage and Ham)
Nissui’s fish sausage “Osakana no Sausage” will be newly launched using “eco-clips” instead of metal stops to seal the package.
The metal stops used in fish sausage, due to their ability to keep the package tightly sealed, have been essential for fish sausage, which stays fresh at room temperature. However, many customers have pointed out that it is bothersome when separating their waste and that they do not like the idea of metal being used. For these reasons, Nissui has been working on better solutions.
Recently, we have succeeded in developing new sealing techniques for practical use using a new kind of packaging machine made by the Kureha Corporation. The new seals are called “eco-clips” and will be used beginning this autumn in Nissui’s “Osakana no Sausage” and other major fish sausage products.
We have also made other improvements to the film used to wrap sausage, making it easier to remove and easier to use.
♦“Shokutaku ni Mou Ippin” (“One More Dish at the Dining Table”) series launched, letting you easily add vegetable side dishes to your daily meals
(Frozen Prepared Foods for Household Use)
The “Shokutaku ni Mou Ippin” (“One More Dish at the Dining Table”) series, launched this autumn, is a series of vegetable side dishes to choose from that just need to be warmed up in the microwave, perfect for when you want to quickly add a vegetable side dish to breakfasts, lunches or dinners.
According to the Food Balance Guide agreed upon by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, it is recommended that people consume five to six servings of vegetables and similar side dishes. With the “Shokutaku ni Mou Ippin” series, two trays per menu item are equivalent to one serving of vegetables.
♦Since it requires no energy for preparation, letting foods thaw naturally is a kind of “eco-preparation”.
The “Shizen Kaitou de Oishii!” (“Thawed at Room Temperature and Delicious!”) series, featuring items for boxed lunches, is renewed.
(Frozen Prepared Foods for Household Use)
With the theme of “eco-preparation”, Nissui’s selection of boxed lunch items that can be thawed naturally at room temperature has been reborn as the “Shizen Kaitou de Oishii! “ (“Thawed at Room Temperature and Delicious!”) series.
Popular products such as the “Three Western-style Side Dishes” and “Butter Sautéed Spinach” have been launched, further expanding the lineup.
♦Celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Wagaya no Men-Jiman: Champon” (“Our Noodle Pride: Champon”), a pioneering frozen noodle product with toppings included, we are launching a special “Wagaya no Men-Jiman: 20-Shurui no Gu ga Haitta Champon” (“Our Noodle Pride: Champon with 20 toppings”) for a limited time only.
(Frozen Prepared Foods for Household Use)
This autumn marks the 20th anniversary of “Wagaya no Men-Jiman: Champon” (“Our Noodle Pride: Champon”), which first went on sale in 1987. We are proud that this long-selling item was the first of its type and pioneered the category of frozen noodles with toppings included.
This autumn, to thank our customers for enjoying this product for so many years, we are releasing this 20th anniversary limited product. We hope it adds further attraction to the frozen foods section.
♦“Sakana wa Umai Zo!” (“Fish is Delicious!”) series is launched, bringing you the old-fashioned, simple tastiness of canned fish.
(Canned Foods)
The “Sakana wa Umai Zo!” (“Fish is Delicious!”) series of hand-canned fish using only basic flavoring ingredients to bring out the natural flavors of the fish, makes an appearance in two product lineups: “Nizakana Monogatari” (“Boiled Fish Tale”) and “Yakizakana Kikou” (“Broiled Fish Travelogue”).
