Our management policy: “to access to worldwide marine resources,
create diverse set of values therewith and supply the values to the worldwide
market”. These are the “genes of Nissui” that have been
inherited since its foundation in 1911 and represent our commitment to
be a “producer.”
Nissui operates businesses as a producer including “Marine Products
Business,” “Processed Food Business” and “Fine
Chemicals Business.”

Nissui also focuses its efforts on aquaculture
business to maintain procurement and processing bases of natural marine
resources worldwide and meet the increase in global demand for marine resources.
For salmon aquaculture operating in South America, Nissui has established
a vertically-integrated system for completing the whole process from breeding
of parent fish, spawning, aquaculture, to processing through its own technologies,
which has enabled the Group to meet requests of traceability and to deliver
safe, secure and healthy values to the tables of its customers. In addition,
the Group engages in aquaculture of black tiger shrimp in Indonesia, eel
aquaculture in China and yellowtail and Bluefin tuna aquaculture in Japan.

Nissui processes procured marine
resources into a variety of products including not only fillet and surimi
(fish paste) but also products that are closer to ready-to-be-served food.
Nissui then sells these products. The Group has processing bases located
in Japan, North America (Gorton's, Inc., King & Prince Seafood Corp.)
and Europe (Cite Marine S.A.S.) where the products are consumed, with
Shandong Sanfod Nissui, Ltd. in China operating as a processing base for
the Group’s companies.

Nissui conducts a diverse
array of research and development so as to convert marine resources into
value-added products, such as pharmaceutical and health ingredients, as
well as “marine products” and “food
products.”
